In this video discussion between sidha muni and namadaraka . In this video
Namadharaka wished to know what Sree Guru did after sending away his disciples onpilgrimage. So, Siddha
went on: “Oh Namadharaka, Sree Guru stayed at Vaidyanath for one
year. As I already told you, I stayed away with Him. One day, a Brahmin who was dull-witted
came to him, prostrated in reverence and submitted thus: „I strove hard for spiritual perfection.
But I could gain neither perfection nor even a capable guru. So I now take refuge in you. Please
teach me the way to liberation.‟ Hearing these words, Sree Guru said, „Son, first of all tell me,
who had taught you the way to perfection? Else, how could you
have ever tried for it?‟ TheBrahmin replied, „Swami, I first resorted to a guru. But he was very hard
-hearted. He went on
extracting my services and put me in much hardship. So I deserted him.‟ Sree Guru wasshocked at his words and berated him: „Alas, wh
at have you done! It can never be for yourgood. It is a sin even to look at the face like you, who has deserted his guru. Get away! Indeed, one who is unwilling to bow before his guru in humility, serve him with love or wait on him forinstruction with pa
tience and implicit obedience will never win the grace of the guru.‟ The visitorfelt miserable and said, „Sir how am I to recognize a genuine guru? How to serve him? Ibetrayed my guru out of my ignorance. Please save me!‟
In this world many troubles and losses will be experienced by a human being through sorrow and infatuation. Who is the protector against them? Who will rescue him from worries and miseries? Then Paramaatma is the only saviour.
Only by the grace of God all sorrows are destroyed and happiness and peace will be obtained. For that a person should practice ‘stotra’, prayer, japa, meditation etc., of God and devotional reading of sacred books explaining their significance and gain the grace of ‘Paramaatma’. Paramaatma is in the form of Trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Parameswara. The Trinity protects, punishes, or teaches all creatures of the Universe. All things happen on account of Them. In Kruta Yuga the Trinity who were elated with the devotion of Atri, Anasuya incarnated in their house as Sree Dattatreya Swamy – an embodiment of the Trinity. His incarnation is that of a Guru.
Sripada srivallbha
The aim of this incarnation is to remove ignorance and grant liberation through the attainment of wisdom (Jnana). The path of ‘avadhootas’ is founded only by Him. Devotion of such Dattatreya is going on from Krutayuga from Sethu in the South to Himalayas in the North. Countless devotees from that day till to day worshipped Dattatreya and were successful in gaining their wishes. When Datta is worshipped an equivalent result is achieved of worshipping Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswara at the same time. Datta is ‘Smarthrugami’.
It means that when remembered with devotion, He will be satisfied and supports and protects devoteesin all ways. He grants sustenance and salvation. In 1320 A.D, in Sree Kshetra Pithikapura in East Godavari district of AndhraPradesh, Sree Dattatreya Swamy was born as the first Datta incarnation under thedivine name of Sreepada Sreevallabha to the couple Appalaraju Sarma and Sumati. They were Datta devotees and belonged to Aapasthamba sect. Afterwards Heincarnated as the second incarnation in Karanjapura in Maharastra with the name Sree Nrusimha Saraswati.
In Guru Charitra the importance of such Sreepada Sreevallabha was explained merely in five chapters but, in this ‘SreepadaSreevallabha Charitaamrutam’ all 53 Chapters vividly describes about SreeSreepada Sreevallabha. This great book is really a divine elixir. This book makes the reader forget this world and brings about a feeling of being in the very presence of Sree Sreepada. The sportive pastimes of Sreepada are like the childhood sportive diversions of Sree Krishna. These ‘Leelas’ give indescribable joy. With this joy transcendent corporeality is attained.
